DOVER — Christopher “CJ” Bell, who has served as New Castle County’s economic development director for the past year and a half, has been nominated by Governor-elect Matt Meyer to lead the Delaware Division of Small Business.
Bell’s journey to this role has been shaped by his work in building relationships and fostering entrepreneurship, including his efforts with The Connect, a young professional group he founded while working in politics. As a key part of The Mill community, Bell and his team bring a dynamic energy to the space, organizing meet-ups, events, and initiatives that foster collaboration among Delaware’s entrepreneurs.
CJ’s leadership in creating opportunities for young professionals has earned him attention from Meyer, who sees him as a champion for small businesses at the state level.
