We were absolutely thrilled to host Olivia Rubini for the recording of her NPR Tiny Desk audition. Witnessing her perform “Light of Now,” an unreleased track from her upcoming record, was truly a highlight. Olivia’s dynamic pop voice and sophisticated lyrics, influenced by icons like Fleetwood Mac and Linda Ronstadt, filled our space with energy and soul.

Her ability to blend classic rock mysticism with catchy pop sensibilities is a testament to her unique talent. We feel honored to have been a part of her journey, providing a platform for her to showcase her artistry.

Olivia’s passion and dedication to her craft are inspiring, and we can’t wait to see where her music takes her next. Hosting her at The Mill was a memorable experience, and we’re excited to have played a small role in her NPR Tiny Desk submission.

Early Beginnings and Musical Influences
Rubini began releasing music at the age of 15, showcasing her versatility through cover songs ranging from Rihanna to the Beatles on Soundcloud. Her musical influences include iconic artists like Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt, Harry Styles, and Miley Cyrus, which reflect in her dynamic pop voice and sophisticated lyrics.

The Voice Season 25
Olivia Rubini’s recent claim to fame came when she auditioned for Season 25 of NBC’s “The Voice.” Her rendition of Linda Ronstadt’s “Long, Long Time” during the Blind Auditions earned her a spot on John Legend’s team. Although her audition would have likely resulted in a Four-Chair Turn if other coaches had available slots, she secured the final spot on Team Legend, closing out the Blind Auditions stage in spectacular fashion. In the Battles round, Rubini teamed up with Jackie Romeo to perform Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen.” After her impressive performance in the Battles, where she was part of a dynamic duo with Jackie Romeo, she was stolen from Team John Legend by Team Dan+Shay. This move allowed her to continue competing in the Knockouts, where she delivered a captivating rendition of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer,” outperforming her competitor Frank Garcia. Olivia then advanced to the Playoffs, the final round before the Live Show Semi Finals, performing “Stand By You” by The Pretenders alongside other talented contestants from Team Dan+Shay. Although she was eliminated during the cut from Top 20 to Top 12, her talent and dedication left a lasting impression.

Recent Engagements and NPR Tiny Desk Submission
Since her time on “The Voice,” Rubini has been featured on John Mayer’s “Life” on SiriusXM and performed at a WXPN/NPR Music Key Session. She also had the honor of singing the National Anthem at Lincoln Financial Field for the Philadelphia Eagles. Recently, she submitted an audition video for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, performing an unreleased song titled “Light of Now” from her upcoming record. This submission showcases her continued growth as an artist and her ability to captivate audiences with intimate, soulful performances.

Upcoming Record
Rubini’s upcoming record promises to be a blend of powerful ballads, lush 70s-inspired pop tunes, and intimate love songs, reflecting her classic rock upbringing while maintaining catchy pop sensibilities. With her NPR Tiny Desk submission and her recent performances, Olivia Rubini is certainly an artist to watch in the music scene. In summary, Olivia Rubini is a talented artist with a promising career ahead of her. Her recent NPR Tiny Desk submission and her experiences on “The Voice” highlight her dedication to her craft and her unique musical style. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with her upcoming record!
