We are thrilled to mark a significant milestone at The Mill: EIGHT YEARS of successfully reimagining workspace in Delaware!
It feels like just yesterday that we opened our doors on April 1st, 2016, in Downtown Wilmington, with a modest 13,000 square feet on the fourth floor.
Fast-forward eight remarkable years to the present day, and we are thrilled to announce that our space has expanded to an impressive 104,700 square feet of vibrant coworking space.
The Mill at Market West, formerly the Nemours Building, now boasts 65 offices, some with private terraces on the third floor. Additionally, we offer 28 Dedicated Desks to cater to diverse working preferences. The Mill also manages the 221-seat auditorium at Theater N that shows arthouse films weekly and can be rented by Mill members for meetings and events utilizing the state-of-the-art digital projection and sound system.
But wait, there’s more exciting news! We’ve extended our presence beyond the city limits! In 2020, we reached another significant milestone with the inauguration of a 20,000-square-foot expansion in Concord Plaza. The Mill Concord, nestled in the heart of Concord Plaza just off 202, offers a vibrant workspace featuring 44 offices and 18 Dedicated Desks, tailored to meet the unique needs of our members.
Following a pattern of growth and innovation, we recently unveiled even more workspace with an additional 30 offices and amenities such as outdoor terrace space, recreational games, and screening/podcast rooms on the third floor at Market West in February 2024, reinforcing our steadfast commitment to growth and innovation.
As we take a moment to reminisce on the past eight years, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our members, partners, and the community for their unwavering support. It is your belief in our vision that has propelled us forward, shaping The Mill into the dynamic hub it is today—a place where ideas flourish, collaborations thrive, and connections are forged.

Let’s not forget the enriching workshops and the friendly games of pool that have brought our community together.
Our commitment to community partnership shines through in our collaboration with The Hagley Museum as we showcase patent models from their collection, We’re also honored to be the home of several amazing organizations and companies, such as Zipcode, a prestigious software coding school, fostering innovation and empowering the next generation of tech talent.
